RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE - Part Time opportunities, must be minimum 16 years old!

Key Details:
  • Work an average 2-4 days per week (Store open from 8am to 6pm), Must be able to work weekends, Some holidays required.
  • Up to 8 hour shifts
  • Part Time, $11.00-$14.00/hr, +$1 shift bonus per hour for working on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays!

General Description: The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for daily operations of our retail store including, but not limited to; proper merchandising of salesfloor, packaging our world famous cheese curds and "cut and wrap" cheeses, food service production of sandwiches, pizzas and deep-fried curds, conducting register sales, maintaining store cleanliness and inventory as well as, and most importantly, providing exceptional customer service. All other duties appropriate to the position or as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Customer Service Expectations:
  • Provide exceptional customer service with authentic kindness.
  • Run store registers to process guest transactions
  • Assist Guests with finding and selecting products

Food Service Duties:
  • Foodservice production of: ice cream, sandwiches, pizzas, meat/cheese trays, deep-fried food items, cut cheeses
  • Package and seal cheese products per food safety regulations
  • Properly document and record cleaning check lists, temp logs, and in-store production records
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace according to Good Manufacturing Practices

Team & Retail Store Support Tasks:
  • Merchandising of Store sales floor, coolers, and freezers
  • Assist with opening and closing store procedures
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Responsible Serving of Alcohol and Food Safe Handling Certificates.
  • Follow all current company policies and procedures
  • Assist in all retail areas as needed; other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Education / Experience / Competencies and Other Skills:
  • Reliable attendance and on-time arrival are required.
  • Ability to read and follow directions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Other Skills:
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and work in the dairy industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in Retail or Food Service desired

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs. occasionally
  • Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Pass a drug & alcohol screen as well as a general background check.
  • Retail & Food Plant environment; must adhere to all food, retail and plant safety policies and regulations.
  • Work with chemicals for cleaning purposes.

Must be 16 years of age as required by policy.
