Psychiatrist – Outpatient Behavioral Health (Part-Time)

Burbank, CA | $180–$200/hour | No Call | No Weekends

Make a Meaningful Clinical Impact Without the Burnout of Traditional Psychiatry

Institutes of Health (IOH) is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team in Burbank, California. This is an opportunity for a psychiatrist who values thoughtful, patient-centered care and wants to practice in a collaborative environment without the demands of inpatient psychiatry, high-volume clinics, or on-call responsibilities.

IOH provides integrated behavioral health and rehabilitation services for patients experiencing complex psychological, medical, and trauma-related conditions. Our multidisciplinary care model brings together psychiatry, psychology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, and other clinical specialties to support whole-person recovery and improved patient outcomes.

About the Role

As a Psychiatrist with IOH, you will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management for patients experiencing:

  • Depression and anxiety disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • PTSD and traumarelated conditions
  • Behavioral health concerns related to medical complexity, chronic pain, and injury recovery
  • You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver a biopsychosocial approach to care focused on patient recovery, function, and quality of life.

    What You’ll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical assessments
  • Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions using evidencebased practices
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare providers
  • Provide clinical expertise within an integrated care model
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Qualifications

    Required:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
  • Active and unrestricted California medical license
  • Active DEA registration
  • Outpatient psychiatry experience
  • Preferred:
  • Experience treating traumarelated disorders, chronic pain, or medically complex patients
  • Workers’ Compensation experience
  • Experience in integrated behavioral health, rehabilitation, or multidisciplinary care settings
