Telehealth Overnight Weekend Psychiatrist
MindCare Solutions is a leading provider of behavioral health services supporting hospitals, emergency departments, inpatient behavioral health units, long term care centers and a variety of other clinical settings. We partner with healthcare organizations to deliver best-in-class, end- to-end behavioral health solutions that combine evidence-based care pathways, advanced technology, and high-quality providers. Schedule: Fri, Sat or Sun - 7pm-7am CST
Compensation: per hour plus per encounter rate (1099 or W2)
Location: telehealth
Responsibilities:
  • The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed
  • The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
  • Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
  • The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
  • Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
  • The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
  • Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management
  • Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.

Qualifications:
  • Psychiatrist is required to have active TX license
  • 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required)
  • Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry
  • Valid and unrestricted DEA
  • Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely
  • Open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred)
