Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.District Project Manager:Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District (BCMUD) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, procurement, construction, renovation, and rehabilitation of the District's parks, recreation, trail, landscape, and community amenity projects from concept development through project close-out.This position serves as the District's primary project management resource for capital improvement projects that enhance the quality of life for residents, including parks, playgrounds, sports facilities, trails, pavilions, recreational amenities, landscaping improvements, and related public spaces. The Project Manager will coordinate with consultants, contractors, District staff, citizen advisory committees, and the Board of Directors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with the District's mission and community vision.Essential Functions:Project Development & Management: Manages park, recreation, landscape, and community amenity capital projects through all phases, including project planning, feasibility evaluation, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and close-out. Develops project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and status reports.Design and Construction Oversight: Coordinates with landscape architects, engineers, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure project designs meet District objectives, community needs, budget constraints, and applicable standards.Construction Administration: Reviews construction plans, specifications, contract documents, pay applications, and project schedules. Monitors construction progress, quality, and contractor performance and recommends corrective actions when necessary.Contract Management: Assists with the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts, professional services agreements, construction contracts, and change orders. Provides recommendations regarding consultant and contractor selection.Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitates and attends project-related meetings, including planning, design review, pre-bid, bid opening, pre-construction, and construction progress meetings. Collaborates with the General Manager, Board of Directors, citizen advisory committees, residents, and District departments to ensure effective communication and project alignment.Regulatory Compliance: Ensures projects comply with applicable codes, regulations, permitting requirements, safety standards, and ADA accessibility requirements throughout design and construction.Procurement & Budget Administration: Works with Purchasing and Finance staff to prepare RFPs, RFQs, bid documents, purchase orders, and other procurement materials.
