Painter

Full Time | Days | 8am-4pm | Working Every 4th Weekend

Pay: Starting at $21/hour

As a Painter, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing surface preparation and painting or covering of interior and exterior walls, fences, signs and roadway striping in a timely, efficient and professional manner.

Our Painter is responsible for the following:

  • Knowledge of painting, staining and wall covering skills to repair, finish and recover walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, furniture, trim, building exteriors, signs, roadways and related areas.
  • Knowledge of basic carpentry skills required to assist carpenters in the repair of buildings.
  • Assists carpenters with interior building repairs including but not limited to; installation of doors and windows, building and repair kitchen cabinets and shelves, construction of platforms and decks, flooring and suspended ceilings.
  • Assists carpenters with exterior building repairs and installation including but not limited to; doors, windows, siding, fascia, soffits, roofs, garage doors and wood trim.
  • Maintains work areas and vehicles in an orderly and clean manner, maintaining a safe work place. Performs tasks in a safe manner. Insures the proper care and use of tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains professional growth and development by attending educational, technical and training programs, seminars and courses.
  • Maintains an accurate record of time for cost distribution and payroll.
  • Completes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) generated work orders and provides clear documentation of work as required. Generates work orders for additional work or tasks identified in the field and completes or submits them as appropriate.

What You Need as a Painter:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Five or more years' experience as a painter including experience in hanging wallpaper, vinyl wall covering, stenciling, cutting and replacing glass.
  • One or more years' experience carpentry or general building maintenance is preferred.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and computer skills.
