Part-Time Weekend Receptionist

Compensation: Starting at $18.50 PER HOUR

Reports to: Assistant Clubhouse Manager

Schedule: Saturday-Sunday 9am-7pm

Established in 1920, Brook Hollow Golf Club enjoys a strong reputation as one of Dallas’ most historic and exclusive private clubs. World-class facilities including a fully renovated golf course that was completed in 2020, a sports complex for tennis, pickleball, wellness and swimming, and a famed ballroom. Brook Hollow has presented some of Dallas’ most memorable and fashionable social events for our elite membership.

We are a high-end service golf operation seeking a highly organized and personable individual to join our team as a full-time receptionist. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all members, guests and visitors. This individual will be responsible for managing the front desk while ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking a person who can perform any combination of duties to support our high-profile membership, guests and personnel of the Club.

Schedule:

Saturday-Sunday from 9:00am to 7:00pm

Will cover reception hours for vacation and sick days of other receptionist. Open availability includes weekends and holidays, on occasion, will assist with member and guest arrival for club functions.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Greet and welcome all members, visitors, guests and staff in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
  • Manage the reception area, ensure it is clean and presentable at all times
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Maintain accurate records and files
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain online and phone reservations made through company reservation portal
  • Provide schedule and other Club information to Members and guests
  • Collect, sort and distribute outgoing/incoming mail to include overnight mail services
  • Edit and maintain distribution of daily lunch and dinner specials menus
  • Be familiar with all house rules regarding reservations
  • Maintain Lost & Found items
  • Responsible for reporting any phone operation problems to the Engineer
  • Additional duties assigned by a Manager

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Hospitality, Food & Beverage & customer service experience is an asset
  • Self-motivated
  • Independent thinker, able to handle high-stress situations in a professional manner
  • Able to work well with other departments
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, phone systems and other office equipment
  • Able to read, write and communicate in English

  • Experience and knowledge of the golf industry preferred

  • Hearing and talking sufficient to communicate with members, guests, and co-workers.
  • The receptionist will be required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and may occasionally be asked to lift and move boxes or packages.
