Cloud Network Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
In this role, you'll analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems. You'll resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes. You'll load and configure cloud servers and vendors such as Cisco or Juniper, or white box routers and switches, and support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services. You'll act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.
On our team, you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of software projects, our technical capabilities, and product design. Working on an agile team of experts, you'll perform reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of various software problems. You'll inform operational parameters for complex systems, as well as leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to influence the delivery of your work. You'll determine what the art of the possible is and what can be done, and then you'll bring it to life for your clients. Are you ready to help us combat the most advanced adversaries?

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical support for the engineering and testing of complex software and hardware systems in the communication field
  • Experience with Kubernetes and networking equipment, including Cisco or Juniper
  • Experience with VMWare, QEMU, KVM, or Docker
  • Experience with Linux or OpenStack
  • Knowledge of networking services and software-defined networking
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with vulnerability analysis and exploit development
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Assembly
  • Knowledge of telecommunications

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
