NOC Technician

Location: IsoFusion Network Operations Center

Schedule: Split Shift (Thursday: 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM, Friday : 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM, Saturday : 5:30PM – 1:30AM, Sunday : 5:30PM- 1:30AM)

IsoFusion is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NOC Technician to join our Network Operations Center team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in IT or technical support who is eager to expand their skills and grow into more advanced system and network engineering roles.

About the Role

As a NOC Technician, you will monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, respond to alerts, and assist with troubleshooting across network, server, and environmental systems. You will work directly with enterprise-grade technology, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a real-world operations environment.

This position is perfect for someone who has at least a year of IT/help desk experience and wants to take the next step into networking and data center operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network, server, and environmental systems for alerts and outages.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, resolving where possible and escalating when necessary.
  • Perform server and network hardware tasks: racking, cabling (Ethernet & fiber), diagnostics, and replacements.
  • Provide remote hands and onsite assistance for co-located customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and labeling standards in the data center.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and updates in the ticketing system.
  • Provide professional customer service to both internal teams and external clients.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

Basic networking knowledge (ping, traceroute, DNS, DHCP).

Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (PCs, servers, or network devices).

Comfortable using command-line tools (Linux, BSD, and Windows).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to pass a background check (employment is contingent on successful completion).

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

Hands-on experience with Linux or BSD operating systems.

Familiarity with enterprise network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).

Knowledge of monitoring tools (SNMP, syslog, or equivalent).

Scripting or programming exposure (Python, Bash, Perl, PowerShell).

Prior data center or NOC experience.
