The Flex Security Patrol Officer (Day/Swing/Grave/Weekend) is a dependable, adaptable, and highly responsive team member responsible for covering high-priority shifts across multiple sites. This role is critical in maintaining a strong presence during afternoon, overnight, weekend, and high-activity operational hours, ensuring safety, deterrence, and rapid response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide coverage for swing shifts, graveyard shifts, and weekend assignments across multiple locations
  • Provide high-visibility patrol and access control at client sites
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter criminal activity during high-risk hours
  • Conduct proactive patrols (foot and/or vehicle) with an emphasis on deterrence and engagement
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to maintain site security
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and service calls with urgency and professionalism
  • Observe, document, and report all incidents, hazards, and suspicious activity
  • Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports using company platforms
  • Enforce site-specific rules, policies, and safety protocols
  • Utilize company-issued equipment (radio, body camera, patrol vehicle) in accordance with policy
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and the public
  • Build rapport with businesses, tenants, and community members during patrols

Technology & Equipment Use:
  • Use of company-designated platforms for reporting, communication, and timekeeping is required
  • Ability to effectively use mobile devices, applications, and security software platforms for real-time reporting and communication
  • Monthly cell phone stipend provided to support work-related communication

Flex Expectations (Day/ Swing / Grave / Weekend):
Availability primarily for:
    • Swing shifts (afternoon/evening)

  • Day shifts (early morning/afternoon)

  • Weekends (Friday-Sunday)

Qualifications:
  • Active BSIS Guard Card (Applicants must possess a valid California BSIS Guard Card at the time of hire. The company does not sponsor, provide, or cover the cost of obtaining guard cards)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (if applicable)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between job sites
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations and make sound decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to effectively use technology and mobile-based software platforms for reporting and communication
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid exposed firearm permit or prior firearms training (where applicable to assignment) (preferred)
  • Military experience
  • Experience in patrol operations, event security, parking enforcement, public districts or public venue environments
  • Familiarity with mobile reporting platforms and security technology
  • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
  • Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills
  • Open availability and demonstrated ability to support varying shift demands (preferred)

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time
  • Ability to remain alert and responsive during overnight shifts
  • Capable of working outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
