Job description

Location: Sioux Falls South Dakota
Job Title: Part-Time CDL Driver
Employment Type: Part-Time
Company: I-State Truck Cetner
Compensation: Mileage Based

This is an on-call part-time position that would entail delivery of new and used trucks between Minneapolis Minnesota, Sioux Falls South Dakota and Sioux City Iowa. Additional destinations available depending on drivers’ preference. If you have a clean driving record a are a licensed CDL Class A driver seeking supplemental income and looking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles before transportation. Document and notify manager of any issues or obstacles. (must have ability to perform pre-trip inspection)
  • Position will be On-Call within a minimum of 24-hour notification prior to requested delivery.
  • Manage all documentation upon delivery and drop off the vehicle.
  • Trips will be based on incoming and outgoing equipment needs (no guaranteed trip per month).
  • Receive and\ or collect any payment of services at the time of delivery if necessary.
  • Adherent to safety procedures and precautions while driving trucks to and from destinations and locations.
  • Immediately report and document any traffic incidents or accidents that may occur during the transportation of the vehicle along with any damage to the vehicle.
  • Additional tasks may be required by the supervisor or manager
  • May require overnight travel

Job Qualifications:

  • CDL Class A or B license required
  • Clean driving record for the past 2 years, no DUI or felonies in the previous 10 years (must pass federal DOT Physical and Drug Screen) and Physical provided by I-State Truck.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions
  • Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required
  • Reliable attendance
  • Willingness to travel
  • Lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
