What You'll Do:
As an On-Call Caregiver, you will step in to ensure our clients receive uninterrupted, high-quality care when their regular caregivers are unavailable. Your role will include:
• Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping.
• Providing mobility support and medication reminders.
• Being adaptable: You'll work in a variety of environments (including clients' homes and facilities) and may assist with more complex care, including transfers, incontinence care, and medical equipment support.
What We're Looking For:
• Availability: Must be available at least 3-4 days per week, including weekends, and respond promptly to on-call requests.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a caregiver role, including personal care experience.
• Flexibility: Comfortable working in different environments, whether in a client's home or facility.
• Reliability: Dependable transportation and a commitment to providing excellent care.
• Compassion: A passion for helping others with a positive, empathetic attitude.
Additional Requirements:
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• A clean driving record.
• Must be able to commit to being on-call for emergency deployment within Western Wayne and Downriver counties, including the ability to work in homes with pets, smoke, and other potential environmental factors.
