Job description

Statement of Primary Purpose
The Instructional Technologist shall be responsible for administrative support regarding the implementation of technology systems.
The Instructional Technologist will support the Dean in administering the Learning Management Systems (LMS) as well as other instructional and support technologies (such as, but not limited to Watermark, Concourse, Panorama, Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor, and Thinkingstorm).
Classification
Staff, part-time, non-exempt. Position will work 10 hours weekly
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Develop on demand resources such as tutorials and videos to assist faculty and support staff
• Run reports and process data in support of programs and initiatives across the campus
• Assist the Dean in Maintaining the professional development registration and promotion database
• Assist in the capture and distribution of faculty development activities (including website maintenance, course development and video production)
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve functional issues in partnership with IT
• Responsible for managing the life cycle of content in a variety of systems
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Cultivate productive work relationships throughout the SCC community
• Provide timely information as requested to assist in the planning and assessment of distance learning and professional development initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education
AA in Office Administration, Business Administration or Educational Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another closely related field from an accredited institution (Bachelor's Preferred)
Knowledge and Skills
• Two years of work experience in software support (either user focused or administrative)
• Demonstrated work experience in developing and maintain Google Suite applications (Integrating applications)
• Demonstrated ability to both collaborate with others in a team environment and work independently on assigned tasks
• Demonstrated ability to establish collegial, productive working relationships with faculty, staff, and administration or similar organizational constituents
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including defining scope, setting objectives, determining timelines, acquiring resources, tracking progress, and preparing reports.
Physical Demands
Sitting, standing. Some lifting and moving instructional equipment.
Licensing Requirement
Licenses as required for course development and delivery
Working Conditions and Environment
Flexible work schedule (hours, day, evening and weekends as required).

Multiple computer platforms, multimedia equipment, multiple LMS systems, office equipment, computer software
