Drupal QA Analyst

Promet is looking for a US based, part-time QA employee to join our team on an as-needed basis, remotely. The QA team member is responsible for leading quality review of various applications. The role relies upon test automation and manual testing tools. This is a part-time, W2 position, 10-20 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is between $20-40. Benefits are not included with this part-time position.

Candidate MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States. Candidate MUST be able to pass a background check with fingerprinting and DOI clearance.

This is a fully remote position, and your hourly pay and paid sick leave accrual will comply with the wage and leave laws applicable to the state and locality where you physically perform your work. Promet Source complies with all applicable wage, hour, and paid leave requirements based on each employee's work location.

Responsibilities

  • Follow manual and automated testing best practices in testing of features and bugs as part of development lifecycle.
  • Work as part of an Agile team in preparing Quality Assurance strategies, plans, and test scenarios based on customer requirements.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle, ensuring that functional requirements are converted into high-quality, working application components that meet specifications.
  • Assure delivery of high quality code by raising quality issues, tracking their progress, and validating resolution.
  • Manage metrics and reports of project quality for ongoing review with Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Accountable for validating the quality of technical artifacts before they are delivered.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops, as required.
  • Estimate the amount of work required to deliver requirements.
  • Report on blockers and collaborate with team members to reach resolution.
  • Track time using project and organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in testing various applications, services and user interfaces
  • Experience in test automation and creating repeatable, maintainable, automated test suites
  • Understanding of test driven development
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall processes
  • Understanding of user interface design
  • Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Knowledgeable or has experience with Behat automation.
  • Knowledgeable or has experience with Cypress or Percy.
  • Sound experience with Robot Framework.
  • Sound experience with any Automated Visual Regression Tool.
  • Knowledgeable or has experience setting up continuous integration.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in web and mobile testing.
  • Good or sound knowledge with Linux commands.
  • Preferably with experience in testing Drupal enterprise multi language, multi-sites.
  • Experienced web back and frontend testing.
  • Experienced with Agile methodologies. Preferably with ISTQB certifications.
  • Knowledgeable in WCAG 2.1 concepts and has experience in web accessibility testing.
  • Ability to communicate technical aspects to people with non-IT background.
  • Experience working in Drupal
  • 3+ years of QA working experience
