Description
This position is contingent upon successful contract award.
Responsible for safeguarding digital assets by implementing robust security measures, managing risk, and ensuring our systems remain compliant with rigorous federal standards. Must be able to balance technical defense strategies with high-level management of security frameworks to protect against sophisticated cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Auditing: Maintain and enforce security protocols in alignment with DoDM 8140.03 standards.
  • Network Defense: Monitor networks for security breaches and investigate violations using advanced Cyber Defense (CD) methodologies.
  • Information Assurance: Manage the security posture of the enterprise, ensuring all technical and administrative controls are functioning as intended.
  • Privileged Access Management: Oversee security for specific Operating Systems and Computing Environments (OS/CE), ensuring all personnel with privileged access are properly trained and certified.
  • Risk Mitigation: Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify potential weak points in the infrastructure and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of network security, encryption, and threat detection tools.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to navigate complex IAM frameworks to align security goals with organizational objectives.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: A proven track record of identifying system vulnerabilities and implementing effective, long-term solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical security risks to leadership
  • Travel may be required

Requirements
Technical Certifications & Requirements: Candidates must meet the following baseline certification requirements:
  • IAT Level II: Must hold one of the following: Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security.
  • IAM Level II: Must hold one of the following: CISSP (or Associate), CISM, CASP-CE, CAP, or GSLC.
  • Cyber Defense (CD): Must possess at least one of the following specialized certifications: CEH, GCIA, CSIH, or GCIH.
  • OS/CE Certification: A valid Operating System/Computing Environment certificate of training is required for the systems you will be managing with privileged access.

Experience & Education Requirements: To meet the DoDM 8140.03 qualification standards for this role, candidates must satisfy one of the following criteria:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited university.
  • CNSSI 4011 Information System Security (INFOSEC) Professional certification.
  • A minimum of 6 years of direct professional experience in a cybersecurity or information assurance role.

Clearance Requirements: Possesses and maintain Top Secret Clearance ( SCI preferred )
