Overview

Opportunity: FlowRider Wave Instructor

As a FlowRider Wave Instructor, you'll deliver dynamic guest experiences on the FlowRider surf simulator, providing lessons to riders, coaching operators, and supervising day-to-day operations of the attraction. This role blends performance, leadership, and instruction in a fast-paced, high-energy aquatic environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide FlowRider lessons for guests of all skill levels, offering individualized instruction and expert guidance.
  • Oversee daily FlowRider operations to ensure guest safety, staff performance, and adherence to service standards.
  • Supervise, and train FlowRider Wave Operators, ensuring consistent enforcement of safety protocols and operating procedures.
  • Conduct regular skills training for operators to maintain high standards in safety, guest interaction, and ride operations.
  • Monitor rider activity, assist with falls, and manage guest flow to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
  • Lead energizing interactions with riders, creating an engaging, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere.
  • Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of the FlowRider and surrounding area, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with management to report safety issues.
  • Support other recreational or aquatic activities as needed.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • Previous experience as a FlowRider operator or instructor preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and assist riders physically.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
