What is a part time voice over?

Part time voice over jobs involve providing voice recordings for various projects such as commercials, audiobooks, animations, video games, and corporate videos on a flexible, non-full-time basis. These roles typically allow you to work from home or a studio, recording scripts as needed for clients. Part time positions are ideal for those looking to supplement their income, pursue voice work alongside other commitments, or gain experience in the industry without a full-time schedule.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time voice over artist?

To thrive as a Part Time Voice Over artist, you need strong vocal control, clear diction, and the ability to interpret scripts, often supported by prior acting or vocal training. Familiarity with audio recording equipment, editing software (like Audacity or Adobe Audition), and sometimes a home studio setup is essential. Creativity, adaptability, and professionalism help you deliver diverse projects and work efficiently with clients or directors. These skills and qualities ensure you can consistently deliver high-quality audio that meets client expectations in competitive and fast-paced markets.
