Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is seeking highly motivated Youth Development Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with youth and will be responsible for branch programming, youth program quality and branch operations. This is a part-time hourly position working with small to large groups of youth. 


 The Club Experience, provides over 31,000 youth each year with a safe, positive environment, supportive relationships, and opportunities to build the courage to dream. We nurture academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character, and workforce readiness. 


Current hiring locations in Arlington:

  • Kromer Branch - 200 E. Cravens Park Dr. Arlington, TX 76018
  • Main Branch -  608 N. Elm Street, Arlington, Texas, 76011 
  • Dan Serna Branch - 2011 Wynn Terrace, Arlington, TX 76010
  • North Branch - 2020 Baird Farm Road, Arlington, TX 76164

Requirements

Education and work experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with youth

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Available to work during school year a 2:00pm - 7:00pm schedule, Monday - Friday and during summer, Monday - Friday between 7:30am - 6:00pm
  • Ability to be a positive role model
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to relate to at-risk youth
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass all required background screens and drug screens at any time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development, and teen interests
  • Work experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club)
  • Some positions may require driving a company vehicle. Candidates must have a satisfactory driving record and a valid driver's license for the operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under company insurance. The requirement is for employees to be a minimum of age 21.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay: $14.00 per hour
  • Benefits: Eligible for Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay
