Job description

College Tutors of Edina, MN, Austin, TX, and Seattle, WA is seeking role model homework help tutors for 6th-10th grade students for the 2026/27 school year! This position provides you with the opportunity to mentor and tutor several students throughout the week and develop tutoring and teaching skills while making a difference!
+ You set your schedule (5-10 hours per week) within the hours of 3-9pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-9pm on Saturdays and Sundays
+ The start date is late August / early September, and we are seeking tutors who can work the entire school year.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with homework in math (through algebra 2), reading/writing, general homework help and organizational skills.
  • Check grades and school portals with students to keep them on track.
  • Act as a role model and mentor to students that you tutor towards academic success.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to tutor most middle school and early high school subject areas: math (algebra 1, geometry or algebra 2), science (physical science or higher), reading/writing, and history.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Good study habits and organizational skills as evidenced by college transcripts
  • Previous tutoring experience is ideal but not required!
  • It is not required that you are a current college student for our tutoring positions.
  • Able to work effectively in a virtual environment and have access to a clean, professional background for virtual sessions.

Pay starts at $22 and hour for virtual sessions.
