Part-Time Virtual Primary Therapist
JourneyPure Tennessee Virtual IOP
Remote within Tennessee | $28.00-$30.00 per hour
JourneyPure is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, person-centered treatment for individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. We believe recovery is possible for everyone and approach each person with dignity, hope, and respect.
We are seeking an engaging and compassionate Part-Time Virtual Primary Therapist to join our statewide Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program. The Primary Therapist will meet clients where they are and support sustained recovery through virtual group facilitation, individual therapy, assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct biopsychosocial and ASAM assessments.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the treatment team.
  • Provide individual therapy and facilitate virtual psychoeducational and process groups.
  • Use evidence-based, trauma-informed, and strength-based approaches to support recovery.
  • Educate clients about substance use disorders, relapse prevention, and recovery strategies.
  • Monitor client progress and make appropriate level-of-care recommendations.
  • Coordinate care and make referrals for additional services when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team and participate in weekly treatment-team meetings.
  • Follow all telehealth safety, confidentiality, and emergency-response procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Current Tennessee licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred. We welcome both fully licensed and pre-licensed master's-level clinicians.
  • Experience in substance use treatment or group facilitation preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a collaborative virtual team.
  • Reliable internet and a private workspace suitable for telehealth services.
  • Availability for an assigned morning or evening schedule.

Compensation: $28.00-$30.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
