Job description

The Game Day Logger is a part-time, seasonal position. The video logger will assist with logging all game-day video assets as part of the Detroit Lions Digital Asset Management team after all Lions games. Logger will label video footage for the Post Production team. This position reports to the Media Asset Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):

  • On game day assist with logging of all game day video clips in Iconik by adding specific asset details and tags: Player name, Play type, yardage, and any other specific metadata/keywords
  • Transcribe descriptions of logged footage
  • Log all video content as needed by the following morning after each game

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position
  • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts
  • Must be accurate and efficient with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and escalate issues appropriately
  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands
  • Will keep appropriate information confidential

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work evening/overnight hours
  • Basic understanding of video formats and equipment is required
  • General understanding of NFL rules, teams, players and culture is required
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and hard-working individual who can exercise judgment independently.
  • Must be technically savvy and able to troubleshoot basic IT issues
  • Basic Adobe Premiere, Adobe Media Encoder and Catalyst Browse skills are strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working with digital media systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage time effectively, are required
  • Must possess excellent writing, grammar, and spelling skills
  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
