Job Summary
The Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) at the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a full or part-time Clinical Molecular Biology Lab Technician to work Sunday and weekday shifts The ADDL is a full-service veterinary diagnostic laboratory that serves the state of Indiana by providing both routine and regulatory diagnostic services to support Indiana veterinarians, animal health officials, livestock producers, and animal owners.
Perform routine or specialized diagnostic procedures/tests for identification of microbial pathogens of animals and analyze data in support of the diagnostic and research missions of the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory. This position is a molecular position with required training in other laboratory sections as needed to provide backup assistance.
Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible in order to accomplish daily tasks. Must be willing to work in a team setting. The right candidate will also have the ability to work independently under moderate supervision.

Education
Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant work experience is required. A degree in biology or animal sciences is preferred. A veterinary nursing degree may be considered.
Experience
Combination or related education and experience including an Associate's degree and three years of relevant work experience will also be considered.
