Primary Function

The primary function of the Accounting Vault Cashier is to support financial operations and point of sales locations through collection, processing and deposit of cash revenues.

Reporting and Accountability

The Accounting Vault Cashier reports to, and is accountable to the Glenwood Hot Springs Controller.

Authority

The Accounting Vault Cashier has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities of the Accounting Department.  

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read directions.
  • Ability to climb stairs and walk entire property several times a day up to as many 2 to 3 miles up and down stairs and on uneven ground.
  • Push, pull, lift and carry at least 30 pounds.
  • Basic math, cash handling and counting skills.
  • Bend, stoop and use a key board and type.
Educational Requirements
  • At least four years of cash handling/teller experience.
Other Requirements
  • Good communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to operate a ten-key calculator by touch.
  • Excellent computer experience, including Microsoft Office.
  • Correspondence and filing skills.
  • Ability to maintain cash and equipment.
Work Hours and Days

The Accounting Vault Cashier work hours and days are generally fixed during normal business hours with flexibility to accommodate closings, critical dates, and other responsibilities of the GHSR Accounting Department. This position requires working weekends and holidays. The schedule may be adjusted at any time by the Controller depending on business needs.
