Mixed Reality Software Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
Play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering immersive applications that integrate virtual and augmented reality technologies. Maintain responsibility for leading the implementation of core systems, features, and interactive experiences within mixed reality platforms, ensuring high performance, usability, and technical quality. Collaborate with artists, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into innovative technical solutions, optimize applications for hardware performance, and integrate complex interactions across software and hardware systems. Provide technical leadership by setting coding standards, reviewing work, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices to ensure project success and long-term maintainability of mixed reality applications.
You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience with C++, C#, and Python
  • 2+ years of experience with Unity game engine
  • 2+ years of experience developing applications for AR and VR
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Unreal game engine
  • Experience with Computer vision
  • Experience processing live video
  • Experience with UI or UX design
  • Experience working with textures, materials, shaders, animations, and sounds

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
