A Part Time Underwriter needs analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of risk assessment, often supported by a degree in finance, business, or a related field. Familiarity with underwriting software, risk modeling tools, and relevant industry certifications (such as CPCU or ARM) is typically required.
