Summary:
Produces ultrasonic images of the breast for use by physicians in the diagnosis of disease; performs screening and diagnostic breast ultrasound exams as requested; assists radiologist in biopsies, seed localizations, aspirations and other studies as needed; maintains exam room supplies. The pay for this position is $40.18 hourly.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York, an Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as an Ultrasound Technologist; or
2. Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and certified by an accredited institution as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
3. Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as an Ultrasound Technologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or an approved school or training institution may be substituted for the above experience requirement.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
