This position is for our Extendicare West Oak Village Home, located in Oakville, Ontario.

1 Part-time position (must be available evenings and weekends)

What you'll be doing:

  • Presents and promotes a positive image of business office and the facility to residents, family, guests, outside services and community.
  • Answers telephone and place outgoing calls.
  • Performs clerical work and maintains records as required and performs clerical work as assigned from all Department Managers.
  • Maintain files/records such as current and/or discharged resident files, inservice attendance records, etc. Processed orders or requisitions, book resident appointments, etc.
  • Maintain the inventory of office supplies, forms, and equipment.
  • Deliver supplies and must be able to lift 15lbs or more.
  • Handle payments from families, sell meal tickets, distribute pay statements.
  • Adhere to established department policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment, and infection control.
  • Maintain the inventory levels of nursing supplies, forms and equipment.
  • Communicates pertinent information to staff, residents, visitors, etc.
  • Participate in facility meetings as assigned. Attends inservice education programs.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for department regarding fire, infection control, safety and quality assurance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

What you bring:

  • Administrative skills, typing and filing. Computer skills required.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organization skills, multi-tasking ability, and self-motivation.
  • Provide a clear Criminal record Check.
  • Business Administration Diploma preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge in Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable.
