Job description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a Dishwasher it is your responsibility to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including operating dishwashers, hand washing dishes, cleaning equipment and storing dishware.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Collect and wash all dishes, cutlery, and glasses
  2. Ensure all dishes, cutlery, and glasses are properly sanitized before further use
  3. Clean kitchen tools and appliances properly before use
  4. Clean kitchen floors, storage areas, and take out the trash
  5. Keep dish pit and storage areas clean and organized
  6. Tidying up the dining area after service ends.
  7. Moving tables and chairs as needed.
  8. Following all sanitation and safety procedures.
  9. Reporting any damages, shortages, or complaints to management.
  10. Be a self-starter, ensuring the cleanliness of the back of house and surroundings areas.
  11. Contribute to a fun, energizing, and comfortable working environment as an active member of the team.
  12. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, evenings, and weekends.
  13. Must be able to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

The position operates in a professional restaurant environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), standing, sitting, walking, and reaching. The incumbent operates all standard office equipment, motor vehicles, and mobile phones.
