The Team:  The part time under Doll Experience Associate position is part of the American Girl New York City retail store team. 

Job Description

The Opportunity: The American Girl New York City retail store is looking for a dynamic individual as a  Experience Associate, who has the manual and interpersonal skills to deliver friendly and informative service, as well as, the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Approach, acknowledge and assist customers promptly.
  • Execute style for dolls according to company standards and demonstrate proper doll hair care and doll skin care techniques
  • Perform ear piercing services
  • Training and certification will be provided to perform ear piercing services. Trained associates will follow ear piercing procedure checklist, complete waivers, and review After Care procedures with guests
  • Conduct inventory of salon supplies and stock salon area and communicate replenishment needs when needed
  • Participate in salon events including Doll Hair and Manicure Day events, hair demos, and private birthday parties
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed
  • Share product knowledge, answer questions, and suggestive upsell other Salon services and products
  • Share information on store events, promotions, and activities with customers
  • Collaborate with co-workers to create a positive work enviornment and assist in training new associates
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Must be willing to perform girl ear piercing services 
  • Sales experience in the specialty retail or service industry, preferred.
  • Experience styling hair, especially for dolls, preferred.
  • Experience working with children, preferred.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights and weekends.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.*

*Hourly rate is based on a candidate’s education, skills and experience.
