Part-Time Elementary & High School Teachers/Tutors Wanted

Passionate about puns? Excited by literature? Eager to help students succeed in all subjects?

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Abbotsford Hillcrest & Clearbrook is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre for the current school year (2025-2026). If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with:

  • Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French 
  • High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English.

Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best - teaching!

Position Requirements

  • Availability Monday to Friday during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
  • Saturday morning availability
  • Commitment for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year, through the summer, and into the 2026-27 school year

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Third or fourth-year university students with tutoring experience will be considered
  • Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum

Experience:

  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • The ability to teach French is also highly desired
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities:

As an Interactive Coach, you will:

  • Teach up to 3 students at a time 
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)
