Job description

Mathnasium of South Surrey is hiring a Centre Director to manage the learning centre.

The Centre Director oversees all aspects of managing the centre including

  • Driving new business/ sales
  • Providing the best quality service to the currently enrolled families through excellent customer experience management and parent communication
  • Instructional leadership through ensuring student success
  • Effective administration and staff management

An ideal candidate for this position has impeccable customer management, sales and communication skills, loves working with kids, and has strong math acumen.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations in the center
  • Market the Mathnasium program by building school and community relationships 
  • Conduct sales by promptly responding to leads and successfully enrolling students
  • Administer student assessments, identify learning gaps, and develop customized learning plans
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with families and communicating student progress
  • Screen, hire, train, and schedule employees to effectively provide individualized instruction in a group setting via in-center, online, and/or hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method 
  • Lead and motivate team members by developing them professionally and personally
  • Monitor and grow overall center performance metrics, including profitability and student success
  • Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales and new business development, preferably in hospitability or retail industry
  • Previous leadership experience managing / supervising teams
  • Experience in Customer service management an asset
  • Passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance various leadership responsibilities
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in education, math, or related field
  • Experience working with students will be an asset

Additional Responsibilities:

In addition to conducting all the tasks and maintaining all the competencies of the center director position, Center Directors are required to have knowledge and be competent on all the tasks and competencies of the Instructor, Lead Instructor, and Assistant Center Director positions as well. Extensive training and support is provided for managing these roles.
