At River City Building Group (RCBG), our Traveling Superintendents lead construction projects across diverse geographic markets, serving as the driving force behind successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. This role is designed for professionals who thrive in a travel-based environment and enjoy building projects in new locations, with new clients, and alongside high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Safety

  • Maintain a safe, OSHA-compliant jobsite
  • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and documentation
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements

Project Execution

  • Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities
  • Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and construction sequencing
  • Monitor progress and support schedule adherence
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
  • Maintain daily reports and project documentation

Quality Control

  • Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and punch list activities
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively

Communication & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary field contact for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Safety personnel
  • Lead field coordination meetings and maintain positive project relationships
