Part-Time Transportation Aide/Van Driver - MUST BE CNA

Nocona Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Van Driver with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification to join our team in Nocona, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting our residents to and from medical appointments, recreational outings, and other scheduled events. This role requires a unique combination of skills in both patient care and safe driving practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport residents to and from various locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist residents in safely boarding and exiting the vehicle, including the use of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers.
  • Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle at all times, conducting regular checks on fuel, oil, and other vital fluids.
  • Schedule and coordinate transportation logistics, keeping accurate records of all trips and resident attendance.
  • Provide basic care and assistance to residents as needed, in line with CNA training and certification.
  • Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere during transport, addressing any resident needs or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing facility staff regarding resident appointments and transportation schedules.
