Aluminum Welder
The Opportunity :
Work pertains to the fabrication process that joins materials, usually met als, primarily using high temperature to melt the parts together and allowing them to cool causing fusion. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge . May assist in the development of solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work under general supervision. May provide guidance for less experience d team members.
You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience welding aluminum in a production environment
  • 2+ years of experience in material preparation, including cleaning, cutting, grinding, and preparing aluminum surfaces to ensure proper fusion
  • Experience with safety compliance, including adherence to company safety regulations, wearing protective gear, maintaining a clean workspace, and following 5S standards
  • Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding machines and techniques
  • Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, utilizing appropriate shielding gases and filler rods to avoid contamination
  • Ability to inspect finished welds visually or with tools for defects such as porosity or cracks, ensuring structural integrity
  • Ability to read, interpret, and fabricate from technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Welding Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
