Job description

DESCRIPTION
Work in the mountains and join our fun team! Silver Fork Lodge & Restaurant is hiring experienced evening Line Cooks!
Experience is necessary and you must have a good attitude and willingness to learn! PM Shift: The successful candidate will have experience cooking lunch and dinner.
We have a seasonal part time PM positions; The PM shift is from 1pm to close (till about 10pm, and 11pm on weekends) with the ability to pick up other shifts. Starting in September we will add Friday and/or Saturday shifts. The season goes through October.
Line Cook Job Duties:
  • Prepare food on the line.
  • Prep station and keep stocked (and line as needed), especially before and during prime operation hours.
  • Oversee and organize kitchen stock and ingredients.
  • Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system.
  • Properly date, cool, temp, and organize food products in accordance with the Utah Health Department standards.
  • Ensure food preparation and presentation maintain quality, safety, and restaurant standards.
  • Verify food storage units are consistently well-managed and in good working order.
  • Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Keep station cleaned throughout shift, maintain sanitizer bucket, participate in deep cleaning kitchen areas as needed, and clean station and remove trash at end of shift. Assist in cleaning dishes as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous professional line cook experience
  • Comfortable on multiple stations in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
  • Comfortable with fast paced environment
  • Must have a current Utah Food handlers permit.
  • Good attitude, and work well with others
  • Have the ability to left 50 lbs.

We are located a beautiful, 15 minute drive (11 miles) from the Salt Lake Valley in the heart of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Brighton, Utah. We are 1 mile from Solitude Mountain Resort and 3 miles to Brighton Ski Resort. If you love the mountains you will love to work here!
