• 12 bed Medical/Surgical & Post Op unit
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Patient population includes post op spine, orthopedic, ENT, abdominal, thoracic, vascular, and urology cases, along with general medical patients
• Close knit, collaborative environment with strong nurse physician teamwork
• Growing department with future expansion plans as surgical services continue to expand

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current VA or compact state license.

Additional requirements include:

• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Experience in clinical area preferred

Hourly Range - $31.49 - $42.51 per hour
