THE ROLE: Health Coach (Part-Time)

The Health Coach serves as a trusted wellness guide, accountability partner and concierge for THE WELL members and guests. Through health coaching, wellness consultations, health assessments, and integrated care coordination, they help members navigate THE WELL's ecosystem, build personalized wellness plans and create sustainable lifestyle change. Working collaboratively with practitioners across fitness, spa and wellness services, and east-meets-west medical care, the Health Coach supports an exceptional member experience while also serving as the primary coaching partner for participants in THE WELL's physician led medical program.

Reports to: Director of Wellness; works in close collaboration with the entire practitioner team

Supervises: Not a supervisory position

THE RESPONSIBILITIESWellness Coaching & Member Journey
  • Deliver holistic health coaching rooted in functional medicine principles and THE WELL Health Coaching framework.
  • Conduct wellness assessments, develop personalized wellness plans, and provide ongoing coaching and accountability.
  • Facilitate wellness consultations, introducing members and guests to THE WELL's services, memberships, medical offerings, and personalized wellness recommendations.
  • Support participants in THE WELL's physician-led medical program by reinforcing care plans and helping implement sustainable lifestyle changes.
  • Conduct health assessments, including InBody, VO₂ Max, and RMR testing, and incorporate findings into individualized wellness plans.
  • Coordinate follow-up services and care recommendations with practitioners, Wellness Guides, and Operations to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Develop educational resources that promote health literacy and long-term behavior change.
  • Support self-guided wellness services, including Hyperbaric Chamber and Light Therapy, by following established protocols, orienting members, and ensuring safe operation.
Integrated Care Coordination
  • Partner with physicians, practitioners, and wellness professionals to create an integrated, whole-person care experience.
  • Serve as the primary wellness liaison for participants in THE WELL's physician-led medical program, coordinating care, follow-up, and ongoing engagement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement wellness plans and facilitate appropriate referrals across THE WELL's services.
Documentation & Professional Standards
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation within THE WELL's electronic medical record system.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, privacy standards, and all company policies.
  • Represent THE WELL with professionalism while delivering an exceptional member and guest experience.
  • Stay current on wellness, functional medicine, and longevity trends through ongoing professional development.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEssential
  • Health Coach Certification (NBHWC, IIN, IFM, Duke Integrative Medicine, Harvard Extension, or equivalent) required.
  • 2–3 years of professional health coaching experience in a clinical, wellness, or integrative health setting.
  • Knowledge of functional, integrative, longevity, or holistic medicine principles.
  • Strong understanding of nutrition, behavior change, and lifestyle coaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using electronic medical records or other web-based systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional member experiences.
Preferred
  • Registered Dietitian (RD), Master's in Nutrition, CCNS, or related advanced credential.
  • Experience supporting physician-led, functional medicine, or longevity programs.
  • Additional wellness certifications (e.g., yoga, meditation, or functional medicine coursework).
  • Hospitality or luxury wellness experience.
  • Bilingual, preferably Spanish.
