REPORTS TO: Branch Director






DIVISION: Operations





DIRECT REPORTS: None






JOB SUMMARY






The Part-Time Teen Specialist is responsible for developing programs, activities, and services that prepare youth and teens for success by creating a safe and positive Club environment that facilitates achievement and results in designated outcomes. Responsibilities include: Club operations, program management, and supervision of members.






JOB RESPONSBILITIES






  • โ€ฏEnsures the safety and security of staff, members, volunteers, facility, and Club assets






  • Supports annual recruitment, member retention, and attendance goals






  • Supports collaborative relationships with community partners, Middle Schools and High Schools






  • Opens and closes the Club; provide direct supervision during operating hours






  • Leads and implements planning, development, and evaluation of Club programs and services to ensure they meet priority outcomes and member needs






  • Promotes and stimulates members interest and participation in Club-wide programs, including support for Middle School programming that creates a pathway for teen program involvement






  • Tracks teen attendance and participation data






  • Maintains productive and effective working relationships with parents, organization staff and management in accomplishing goals and objectives






  • Fosters supportive and healthy interactions for members and develop a Club culture that includes physical and

emotional safety, respect, inclusion, and free of bullying






EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION






  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and 6 youth development or related experience

  • Must obtain/maintain a current CPR & First Aid certification (within first 90 days of employment)

  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license






KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS






  • โ€ขWorking knowledge of federal and state laws and company policies and procedures

  • โ€ขAbility to oversee the physical property and assets of the Club

  • โ€ขKnowledge of vehicles to ensure that they are always operating safely

  • โ€ขKnowledge of Youth Development service delivery

  • โ€ขAbility to maintain and cultivate excellent member/family and community relationships and possess excellent customer service skills

  • โ€ขProficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • โ€ขFamiliarity with principles and practices of supervision

  • โ€ขAbility to communicate with parents, maintain confidentiality and engage in respectful interactions

  • โ€ขAbility to articulate for giving, serve as an ambassador, engage in relationship building and promote philanthropy

  • Ability to support the efficiency of Volunteers and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operations






WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING






  • Travel between BGCAZ Branches, schools and community sites is required. Must meet the insurance standards of BGC.

  • Work is performed in Branches and the community

  • Evening or weekend hours required on an as needed basis
