Position Purpose
Wadena-Deer Creek School District is looking for a part time teacher for the REACH program.
REACH stands for Relationships, Education, Accountability, Character and Hard Work.Applicants with a background in ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), (SEL) Social
Emotional Learning, Mental Healh, Suicide Prevention and Cultural Competency would be
beneficial In REACH students work on goal setting, relationship building, self-care,
communication skills and many other things. Class sizes are small and are supported by a
paraprofessional and the school social worker.
Applicants with a background in ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), (SEL) Social
Emotional Learning, Mental Healh, Suicide Prevention and Cultural Competency would be
beneficial
Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree. Teaching degree desired but not required
This is a .5 FTE position paid
on the Teacher Master Agreement.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

  • Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Work in standard office and school building environments.

Qualifications Profile
Certification/License:
