Job Description:

Atlanta Technical College is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor - Phlebotomy (Part-Time) position in the Health and Public Safety Technologies Division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's Main Campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

Under general supervision of the Dean ofHealth and Public Safety Technologies, the Adjunct Instructor - Phlebotomy (Part-Time) will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop essential Phlebotomist skills.This is part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited tothe following:

  • Teach and demonstrate Phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture, capillary puncture, specimen handling, and infection control.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on lab instruction aligned with program curriculum.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, skills assessments, and clinical supervision.
  • Provide feedback, mentorship and guidelines to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and program accreditation standards; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Certificate, diploma, degree in phlebotomy, medical assisting or related health field
  • Two (2) or more years of directly related work experience
  • Prior teaching or training experience in phlebotomy or related subjects
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate the following:

  • Current phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent)
  • Three (3) or more years of recent phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience
  • Experience in a technical college setting is a plus
