Job Description

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist  

Department: Imaging

Reports to: Imaging Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: The Radiologic Technologist (RT) performs basic radiographic procedures. The RT is knowledgeable in detecting adverse symptomology relating to procedure.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
  • Participates in departmental/organization Performance Improvement activities as requested.
  • Insure timely and accurate communication of patient information with health care team members as may be required for prompt and efficient patient care.
  • Completes all necessary written documentation
  • Completes all necessary computer documentation in a timely manner.
  • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
  • Correctly identifies films.
  • Obtains high quality films (good patient positioning and proper image technique).  Demonstrates technical expertise to operate Imaging equipment.
  • Complies with DOH standards. Complies with radiation safety guidelines.
  • Has a working knowledge of the imaging equipment utilized and operates equipment safely.
  • Reduces hazards/risks, prevents accidents/injuries and maintains safe conditions in workplace.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
  • Obtains quality radiographs of patients in an acceptable timeframe.
  • Assures safe and clean environment.
  • Attendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness Policy
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training required
  • Must be registry eligible and pass the registry and become ARRT Registered within 1 year from date of hire. NH State license is required upon hire.
  • American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • BCLS required.
