Job description

Exciting opportunity to join the growing Mohs Dermatology team as a part-time (28 hour/week) Mohs Histology Tech!

Location: Gateway Two (2621 NE 134th Street - Vancouver, WA 98686)

Compensation: generally between $33.05-$41.45 and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 8am-3:30pm, 30 min lunch

**Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care. We require our employees to adhere to our attendance standards, as frequent deviations make it difficult to provide care for our patients and support our coworkers.

In this role you will perform orienting, embedding, cutting, and staining of frozen tissue specimens. You will freeze tissue samples, cut frozen sections and mount samples on slides, prepare correct reagents and solutions utilized in procedure, and maintain quality control logs for slide review. To be successful in this role you need clinical experience, a passion for team building and integration, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Histology Tech with previous frozen section experience required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mohs or Dermatology is strongly preferred.

  • Graduate of an accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program preferred.

  • HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification preferred.

  • Previous experience with computer software is helpful.

Pay Range:

$25.44 - $35.61
