Windsor Montessori School
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR I - Infant Teacher Assistant
The Town of Windsor is looking for a dynamic, energetic Infant Teacher Assistant to fill a part-time afternoon position. The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation for an Infant Toddler Program for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years; work with teachers, assistants, interns, and contractual employees; recommend materials and supplies as needed; assist in the preparation of daily reports to families; act in the lead role during the teachers absence; attend monthly staff meetings; participate in seminars and training sessions as assigned; and, maintain timely and accurate work records.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have good knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and development
  • Candidate should hold a current CDA or
  • Completion of 12 ECE credits is required within the first year of employment
  • Associates degree in education, early childhood development or related field with 1 year experience; or, any combination of education and/or experience required
  • Successful completion of the Town of Windsor's pre-employment background and drug screen - including testing for marijuana

Compensation and Schedule:
  • Annual range is $35,360-40,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Town employees enjoy a comprehensive benefit package, including but not limited to, health, dental, vision and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, short and long term disability, and a defined contribution retirement plan
  • The hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks per year.
