Most jobs for students are flexible entry-level roles that offer both skills training and hourly work. Most of these jobs occur in the afternoons and evening since you are expected to be in class earlier in the day, but weekend jobs can have longer hours. In this context, part-time means fewer than 40 hours per week; it is entirely possible to have shifts of eight hours or longer on some days.
