About Us
Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses-Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins, all located in central Georgia-and global outreach through its fully-online campus. The University has six academic schools, including Georgia's flagship aviation program, that support its mission to educate and graduate inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the state.
Job Summary
This is a part-time student position within the Office of Student Life, focused on supporting the organization and smooth execution of campus activities. Responsibilities include managing campus bulletin boards, directing phone calls, setting up and breaking down events, assisting Student Affairs staff, and overseeing game room equipment. Student workers are expected to provide customer service, maintain a tidy workspace, and actively engage in promoting and supporting Student Life events.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain campus bulletin boards. They should be checked once a day, and you should ask your supervisor if there are new flyers to be posted.
  • Check in and out game room equipment and supplies
  • Keep the game room closet neat and tidy
  • Ensure cleanliness of game room and notify supervisor of any services needed
  • Attend any meetings/training assigned by supervisors
  • Perform duties related to Student Life
  • Assist with setting up and working events including activities/events held indoors and outdoors
  • Have knowledge of current and upcoming Student Life events.
  • Promote and encourage students to participate in hosted events
  • Represent Middle Georgia State University with professionalism

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours, 12 credit hours preferably.
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
