Position Overview
The Part-Time Student Success Coach serves as a mentor to the students participating in the program. The position provides individualized case management and educational plans for participants. The Student Success Coach meets with students on a regular basis and facilitates activities for the program.
What you will be doing
• Recruits students to participate in the program
• Presents and promotes projects to organizations
• Serves as a mentor to program participants
• Meets with participants in sessions designed to increase motivation, achievement and academic success
• Identifies resources for participants
• Assists in the planning and execution of program activities
• Assists participants with admissions, enrollment, educational and financial information
• Verifies participant eligibility
• Processes participants forms and documents, as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and two years of college (60 credits) from a regionally accredited institution in a related area and one (1) year of related experience.
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
• Knowledge and proficiency in computers, especially Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and take initiative and responsibility for scheduling individual sessions with program participants
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and with attention to detail
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
• Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
