Job Description Summary
Student Life serves as the hub for students at Santa Fe College and is comprised of student activities, student clubs and organizations, civic engagement and service, student government, leadership programs, the Student Engagement Center, international student support and advising, Saints Food Share, the Student Life Business Office, and Student Life marketing. Student Life also provides student-centered services such as access to a recreation room, computer lab, art gallery, ID card services, and holds evening hours.
The Student Life Evening Front Desk Specialist provides evening hour ID and Rec Room services, student support services, and assists with closing operations.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
  • Provides a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing visitors.
  • Accepts, screens, and routes telephone calls concerning activities and operations of the office, directing inquiries as appropriate and/or providing some frontline level of support.
  • Assists in the issuance of ID cards, graphing calculators, carpool decals, and other equipment as needed.
  • Processes payments for ID cards and scantrons.
  • Assists with online ID card appointments on Zoom.
  • Assists with the scheduling and oversight of student employees.
  • Receives and processes departmental paperwork.
  • Monitors Discord server, Recreation Room and Esports Lounge activities and equipment and enforces applicable rules and policies.
  • Oversees closing duties.
  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
  • Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: A combination of education and experience equal to four (4) years.
