Join our team at Silver Rapids Lodge, a premier Northwoods destination located just outside Ely. Surrounded by pristine lakes, forests, and year-round outdoor recreation, our lodge offers guests an authentic Up North experience-and we're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Worker to help keep it that way.
This role is essential to maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our cabins, marina, and grounds. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in keeping things running smoothly, and appreciate working outdoors in a scenic setting, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cabins, docks, lodge buildings, and common areas
  • Maintain grounds, landscaping, and outdoor amenities to reflect the natural beauty of the Northwoods
  • Inspect and service plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and structural components
  • Support marina operations and assist with seasonal setup and winterization tasks
  • Assist with event setup, outdoor activities, and guest-facing needs as required
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and respond quickly to maintenance issues
  • Provide friendly, responsive service when addressing guest requests
  • Track maintenance activities and managing inventory of tools and supplies

Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or groundskeeping preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
  • Comfortable operating tools, equipment, and light machinery
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist guests and team members
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Physically capable of outdoor work in all seasons (including northern Minnesota weather)
  • Valid driver's license required
