The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients' most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe.
As a defense mission expert, you'll bring your leadership, consulting, strategic planning, and military planning expertise to work alongside thought leaders in the DoD on projects for the defense mission. Work with us to assess, analyze, and plan for the region in support of the mission. You served your country as an O4, O5, or O6, now continue your mission with us. Further your career while creating mission-forward solutions that matter.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience planning military operations at the Army Division, Corps or service equivalent, service component, or combatant command level
  • 2+ years of experience in the Indo-Pacific theater
  • Experience leading the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products to prepare briefings and presentations for senior-level military personnel
  • Knowledge of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) or Army formations and capabilities
  • Ability to develop and analyze strategic, operational, and campaign plans
  • Ability to present and effectively advocate component command equities at planning conferences and operational planning teams
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Graduate of a Service or Joint Intermediate, or Senior-level Professional Military Education

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience as a U.S. Army Strategist
  • Experience planning with partners and allies, developing advanced warfighting concepts and structures, and executing and evaluating wargames
  • Experience interpreting military, political, economic, sociocultural, and technological trends, and developing alternative ways of assessment
  • Experience with JOPES integration into operational planning, and Flexible Deterrent Options and Flexible Response Options planning
  • Knowledge of Army design methodology
  • Knowledge of Army multi-domain operations (MDO)
  • Knowledge of the National Defense Strategy and Joint Military Doctrine
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Master's degree
  • Graduate of an Advanced Military Planner School such as the School for Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAAS), or Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS)

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
