Job description

Overview
The Part Time Store Associate is responsible for creating optimum service for customers while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard. The associate must greet customers, answer calls, create load and material lists, load and unload building supplies, stock product and maintain other sales related activities. The associate will perform other duties as assigned by store management to help the daily operations of the store.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Store/Yard Maintenance
  • Load and unload lumber and building supplies
  • Provide service to customers
  • Build loads for delivery
  • Create material lists
  • Keep lumber yard clean and organized

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position involves working indoors and sometime outdoors. Cashiers frequently work near moving mechanical parts
and sometimes in high precarious places. There is exposure to vibrations, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and weather conditions, including rain, humidity, extreme heat, and extreme cold.
Physical Demands
This position involves frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, talking, listening, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, climbing, balancing, crawling and lift to 80 pounds. This position will rarely sit.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Hours of work depends on hours of operations, willing to work 20 hours per week. May require working irregular and/or extended hours.
Travel
Limited travel is expected for this position.
