About This Role

We're looking for a part-time STEAM teacher to join our childcare team. This role is perfect for an educator who's passionate about introducing young children to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on learning.

The STEAM teacher will design activities that spark curiosity, foster problem-solving skills, and encourage exploration for children. We're seeking someone who's energetic, flexible, and able to adapt lessons to meet children at various developmental levels.


What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead engaging STEAM lessons for children aged 1–5, tailoring instruction to meet their unique needs
  • Encourage children to think creatively and solve problems through hands-on exploration
  • Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment, always putting the child's needs first
  • Work collaboratively with other educators to integrate STEAM learning into the broader curriculum, ensuring a cohesive learning experience
  • Communicate effectively with staff and families, keeping them informed about children's learning experiences
  • Plan activities that cater to children with varying developmental levels, ensuring everyone can participate and grow

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • CDA, Associate’s, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred, but not required
  • Passion for STEAM education and fostering curiosity in early learners is essential
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills are necessary for success in this role
  • Ability to adapt activities to suit a range of developmental needs is a must
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting, preferably childcare or early childhood, is a plus
